  3. 2 only
  4. 1, 2 and 3

Answer

1 only

1. Black gram can be cultivated as both kharif and rabi crop. Black gram (urad) is grown in both seasons in different agro-climatic regions of India. Verdict: Correct.

2. Green-gram alone accounts for nearly half of pulse production. Green gram (moong) does not contribute anywhere near half of India’s pulse output; gram/chana is the largest contributor. Verdict: Incorrect.

3. In the last three decades, while the production of kharif pulses has increased, the production of rabi pulses has decreased. Rabi pulses, especially gram, have not decreased over the long term; their production has generally increased. Verdict: Incorrect.
